SMPE relies on Class A Characteristic Backbone Disciplines Cluster of advanced manufacturing and intelligent equipment in Henan Province and three Henan Province first-level key disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering and Engineering Thermo-physics and Instrumentation Science and Technology. SMPE has one first-level doctoral degree authorization point of Mechanical Engineering and three first-level master's degree authorization points of Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Science and Technology and Power Engineering and Engineering Thermo-physics, and it also owns the post-doctoral scientific research station of Mechanical Engineering. At the same time, there are three professional master's degree authorization points in the fields of Mechanical, Power Engineering and Electronic Information (Instrumentation Engineering).
Degree Authorization Point of Mechanical Engineering Discipline: Started to enroll master's degree students in 1979, and was authorized to confer master's degree of Mechanical Design and Theory in 1986, master's degree of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation in 1994, master's degree of Mechanical Engineering in 2005, and first doctoral degree of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation and Master of Engineering Degree (professional type) in Henan Province in 2006, in 2014 approved Mechanical Engineering postdoctoral research station, in 2018 approved Mechanical Engineering first-level discipline doctoral degree granting right.
Degree authorization point of Power Engineering and Engineering Thermo-physics: It was approved to confer master's degree of the secondary discipline of Fluid Mechanics and Engineering in 2000, master's degree of Power Engineering, and master's degree of the first-level discipline of Power Engineering and Engineering Thermo-physics in 2021.
Degree Authorization Point of Instrument Science and Technology: Approved to confer master's degree of the secondary discipline of Test and Measurement Technology and Instrumentation in 2006, approved to confer master's degree of the first-level discipline of Instrument Science and Technology in 2021, and approved to start enrollment of master's degree of Engineering in Electronic Information (Instrumentation Engineering Field) in 2022.
