SMPE has built 6 undergraduate programs in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Automation (including 2 major directions of Mechanical Design and Mechanical Manufacturing), Energy and Power Engineering, Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments, Vehicle Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering.

Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Automation

This major is the traditional advantageous major of our university, now it is the state-level characteristic major and the state-level first-class undergraduate major construction site, and it has passed the professional certification of engineering education in China. Mechanical Engineering is a first-level key discipline in Henan Province and a characteristic backbone discipline group in Henan Province, which has the right to confer master's and doctoral degree in first-level disciplines, and has a post-doctoral research station. The program has national teaching platforms such as Electrical and Electronic Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center and Engineering Training Center.

Energy and Power Engineering

This program is a state-level first-class undergraduate program construction point and a characteristic program of Henan Province, and it has passed the professional certification of engineering education in China. The discipline of power engineering and engineering Thermo-physics, on which it is based, is a first-level key discipline in Henan Province, and has the right to confer master's degree of the first-level discipline.
